Seventeen lines in 15 files. Six quoted short fragments from feedback; eleven used "design note" where a
person once stood ("design note selects 2+ rows", "a design note design call"). Each now states the
reason in neutral terms and keeps the technical content and dates.
All edits are comments, except one string: the safety_note text in
library/scripts/research/derive-city-candidates.mjs, a research script that is not bundled and whose
output is not committed. No logic changes.
Every reference to the Driver in internal/ is reworded the same way as in
library/: the reason stays, the speaker and the quote go, an open decision
reads "provisional, pending a product decision", and agent names and decision-
sheet rows are dropped. Where a gate printed the word, its message now names
the reviewer or the ruling instead.
Three spots were code, not comments, and changed with their callers:
- the element census's allowlist field `driver` is now `ruling`, in the gate
and both presets (same validation: match, ruling, date and card required);
- check:i18n-never-translated's DRIVER-GATED marker is DECISION-PENDING, in
the entries and in the regex that counts them (its output is otherwise
byte-identical);
- the package.json description of the census says "ruling".
public-hygiene-check keeps its two patterns for the word: they are what keep
it out of the served folder.
BUG-BROWSER-GATES-CAN-MEASURE-ANOTHER-WORKTREES-TREE, the remainder. A
static scan of every internal/ script that drives a browser at a local
target found eight with no identity guard (a9550858 and 59f497eb
guarded the rest):

A dev server has no built manifest, so the new
requireDevServesThisCheckout checks the source it serves. It fetches
three library files with ?raw and compares them byte for byte with
this checkout. Another tree's dev server answers differently or 403s,
and the gate exits 75 (NOT MEASURED). Vite answers a plain fetch with
the file's text and an import-style request with `export default "…"`;
both shapes are accepted, since the first version parsed only the
second and refused this checkout's own server.
Proven: against a dev server running from 319064a1's parent and a
built tree whose manifest differs by one byte, all eight exit 75 and
name the differing file (useMapInstance.js). Against this checkout,
check-spa-tab-order and smoke-studio PASS, and plugin-gallery-smoke
gets past the guard. A re-scan finds no unguarded script left.
- No height transition while dragging; the resize grab zone is the top 44px (and, in detail
mode, the content when it is scrolled to the top); one geometry source for the JS clamp and
the CSS max-height; release snaps with hysteresis (open ↔ fullyOpen ↔ collapsed)
- The sheet publishes its height as --legend-sheet-h on the element host; the Mapbox/MapLibre
bottom controls translate up by it, so the logo and attribution stay visible in every state
- New gate: internal/mobile-sheet-probe.mjs (Firefox, touch) taps a pin, drags the detail
sheet up/down and checks heights, states and control overlaps
