doxa-maps/deployment/cloud/build-cdn.sh
Doxa Maps f29df44140 Cloud container: main is the default production branch; the embed address and open mode are documented
- PRODUCTION_BRANCH defaulted to `production`, a branch this repo does not have (development is the
table, main is production). compose.yaml and every deployment already set main; a platform deploy
that left it unset watched a missing branch and /cdn never built. Default main in build-cdn.sh,
pb-prod-migrations.sh and admin.mjs, and in the README.
- EMBED_BASE_URL was missing from the settings table. Unset, the published snippets stay relative.
- Open mode is for a laptop or a private network: it has none of the public mode's guards. Said so.
- compose.yaml reads the repo-root .env, the same file bun run dev reads, so laptop-only settings
would reach the container. Said so in compose.yaml and the platform table.

# build-cdn.sh — one public build of the PRODUCTION branch into /data/cdn, one at a time.
# The dev server follows BRANCH (the team's shared table, e.g. development); the public build comes only
# from PRODUCTION_BRANCH (default main), which moves only on a publish.
# fetch that branch into its own ref -> snapshot it -> apply ITS public exclusions ->
# the build steps WITHOUT the gates (memory-capped) -> check the output -> the exclusion check again
# (refuses the swap) -> atomic swap of /data/cdn/current.
# No gates here: they already passed before the commit reached main, and a full gate run on a
# 2-vCPU container takes most of an hour. The public exclusions are NOT a gate and always run.
# Exit 75 = another build holds the lock. To stop a build, kill the PID in /tmp/build-cdn.pid
# (never a process group: inside a container the group can be PID 1, i.e. the whole container).
