:host carries height:100%, which the fixed-viewport host needs and a page-scroll host must not have: in a tall scroller, 100% is thousands of px, so the element claimed a large empty tail below its own content. The shell inside already switched to height:auto for this reason; the host never did. A host cannot be matched by a class on its own descendant, so the pageScroll flag is reflected outward as a data attribute and :host([data-page-scroll]) switches to height:auto with the min-height dropped. Labelled UNPROVEN in the file, deliberately: dashboard-plus-grid imports this as a plain Vue component rather than mounting the custom element, so the rule is not reachable from there -- and that composite was measured stacking correctly regardless (dashboard 0..864, grid 864..3031, gap 0). The rule applies where research-dashboard is mounted as its own element. |
